Love is Not a Movie

There was a time when I craved being in love, but that time has passed. I've seen a different side of relationships, and I can't unsee it. Love can be fragile, not just for women, but for everyone.

Trauma can make it even harder to navigate. Some people, regardless of gender, may crave constant attention and validation in a relationship. This craving can lead to miscommunication and missed connections, like the time I didn't call for a spontaneous dinner when we were close by. However, communication is key.

Forget the rom-coms and fairy tales. Love isn't a destination; it's a journey. It's about facing challenges together, conquering obstacles, and supporting each other through thick and thin. Love is not a battle, but a partnership built on communication, shared responsibilities, and a willingness to work through challenges.

Love in a committed relationship is about choosing to walk life's path together, through good times and bad. People who are overly emotional or have experienced trauma might shy away from difficulties, missing out on the good things along the way.
